In 2005, our CEO, Caroline Briggs, left a senior role in pharma to build something different — a procurement business designed for science. From early supplier meetings around her dining table to signing her first customers on belief alone, MyAmici was powered by drive, trust, and a shoestring-built e-procurement system that evolved into MyAmici.
Caroline used every available person in her network — from local PhD students and her neighbours’ daughter to her dad — to keep things moving while recruiting the first permanent team. Those who took a chance on us back then are still with us today, proof that resilience, curiosity, and customer focus are the keys to success.
From that solo leap into entrepreneurship, MyAmici has grown into a 100-strong team supporting over 200 biotech organisations across the UK, Europe, and the US.
